Awesome job. Good report and pics.

Had the itch to get out to wet a line. Since travel baseball season is coming to a full swing I havent had much time to get out on the water. I decided to leave the office early to break out the ultra lites in the pond behind my house.
Temp: 77
Partly cloudy skies.
Winds: SE 10-15
Water Clarity: Stained.
Bait of choice: Zman shad fryz in the electric chicken color, 1/8 oz big bit baits jig head.
Started pitching a small monkey milk tube jig with pink 1/16 oz jig head 2 ft under a cork. Bites were slow to non existent. Started walked over to another spot and heard a commotion on the edge of the bank. I peeked over the edge and saw a big female bass swimming around on a bed. She had the biggest attitude when anything came close to where I though a bed might be. I picked up my Zman shad Fryz in the Electric Chicken color with an 1/8 oz Big bite baits jig head. A couple of pitches later and she inhaled the jig. I battled her to the bank , took a couple of pics and quickly released her. Started looking for more beds and saw a bunch of fish that were super spooky. Looks like some of the bass are moving up in the pond to start the spawn. I also picked up several good sized slabs up shallow near gator grass. Ended the 2 hour trip with 4 bass and 4 nice sized slabs. Saw a bunch of fish that were moving shallow but were very spooky.

Lol they were all caught and released to swim another day. This gem of a pond is right behind my house and is loaded with big bass, slabs, and giant shell crackers. My son caught his PB last spring at 8.5lbs and his buddy caught one pushing 10lbs. Going to chase some slabs in the boat this Saturday to see what stage they are in on the river. I'll post results after the trip.
Wow some beautiful fish and from a local pond no less. Congrats and thanks for sharing
