Wind was brisk. I bought minnows but never used them. No fish on several brush piles. Spoke to a bass fisherman as was passing him. Saw him catch 2 bass. I told him I was crappie looking. He said “I’ve Been catching them right here. Come on over and get some.” Told him I didnt want to crowd him. He invited again. So I did. Here is two of the first 3. Caught 7 crappie and 4 bass. Bass were about a 2 and a 3 pounder.

This bass guy was super nice. We compared notes and shared tips and stories. H we was catching his bass by alternating leadhead minnow bait and a jerk bait. I caught everything on a 1/8 oz head and 2” Shad.

Thanks to Ryan for inviting me in and sharing his spot out of the direct wind. Ryan is 28 and sure treated an old guy well.

They keep lowering tomorrows high temp but I might have to go again.

Hey Wasabi! Was good to see you too. Looking forward to a good fishing year. I went back out today for a few more. Trying hard to learn to use Livescope. Here are 2 catches.

Nice. I might have to bite the bullet this year and add Livescope to my kayak.

It’s incredible. And incredibly frustrating. But it sure is nice knowing there are fish nearby.
