    Default A few after work.

Got off a little early and my queen and I went for a salad bar and sammich at our favorite BBQ place. I told her that I wanted a couple of hours on the water when we were done and as luck would have it, it all worked out. In about 4:30 and out about 6:30. I never fired the outboard until it was time for the ramp. Hadn’t fished 5 minutes before I got the first crappie. The next two were solid keepers and fought real good, I was loving it! Things slowed down and I broke off so I moved to another spot and retied along the way. The trout magnet gave me no love so I changed back to the rooster tail and finished up with that. The inch and a half curl tail grub was the best producer but low light and small line and jigs had me use what was already pre rigged. Eased around and total catch was a dozen with no gills in the mix. However, there was a dandy Warmouth that came to visit and made me think it was another good crappie. As usual, CPR. Here’s the pics, thought y’all might enjoy em. Skeeters were thick at the ramp, kinda early for that. Hope y’all get out some and stay warm.

Yep I agree on the pretty colors those are sporting. Even the warmouth has his sporting colors on. Congratulations on a fine evening...

Happy, those and a beetle spin are great search baits. I usually have one rod set up with em.
