Picked up my new boat for Ross Barnett today. A 1993 ChampioN 184DC Contender. I took a couple of pics before I start in on it rigging for Crappie fishing.
Very cherry for a 32 year old boat. 2022 Mercury ProXS 236hrs 1/2 of which is idling Sidescanning. One owner, garage kept, even came with the original ChampioN Build Sheet & Owners Manual.
Sweet!

Nice! Did the previous owner mention if any changes were made to the transom before repowering with a modern 4-stroke?
If I'm not at work or taking kids to their activities, you might find me on "The Rez" fishing. If not there, I could be in the garage working on my boat.
It has been repowered several times with 2 stroke Mercury's. All done by the same dealer. All fittings in the transom were replaced every 5 years. Mercury dealer inspected the hull before installing this engine and said to was fine. I sounded the transom as I do when figuring out where to cut when a transom job came in my shop and it is solid to the edges in all directions. Champion really didn't start skimping on glass till around 1995-1996 but of course there is always a exceptions around.
