    Default After the Thaw !

The Town Pond was totally thawed when I got there this afternoon around 3:15 . It was Sunny , mid fifties with west winds 8-14 mph .
From the dam side this meant the wind was from around 10 o’clock .
Nothing new , I just had to time my casts between the gusts .
I took a couple of St Croix rods , a 5’4” Panfish series paired with a Daiwa Fuego LT 1000d and a 5’6” Trout Series paired with a Daiwa Exceler LT 1000d , both spooled with 2# Floroclear.
In an hour and a half, I caught nine LM bass and a couple nice gills . All on 4.6mm Tungsten bead jigs with a mini Trout Magnet body .
Felt good to finally get back out .
BTW the long range 10 day forecast has changed . Gone are all of the 70 degree highs . Best day is a predicted 65 . I don’t even trust that . LOL !

Nice fish. Seems that lately the bass have been biting better for you than the gills. Nothing wrong with that.
