    Default Dunns Creek Questions

Going to be around Satsuma/Dunns Creek mid Feb. Never fished for crappie in Florida but extensively in Mo and Il.

What action rods should we be using? Rod lengths? Lb test line, clear or florescent? Jigs or minnows?

I'm assuming they will be moving shallow around this time from what I've seen on facebook.

Don't want to haul a bunch of gear along that I'm not going to use.

    THANKS in advance!!!

The same methods you use up north will work down here! I'm from Indiana but have fished the St John's for over 20 years. Never fished that exact area though, I'm south of Lake George in Astor. We used to longline all the time but the past few years we've been slow trolling with minnows and jigs.

Thanks really appreciate the info. Talked to Scott at Georgia Boys yesterday and that's kinda the same thing he told me. Thanks again!

Don’t forget a dippin rod for the pads too. Fun when it works.
