Default I got a chance to get out today

Yep, and I actually took it. Went to check out the walk-across bridge and the lake was froze over, nights been dippin' well below freezing here in the Ozarks lately... Second spot had some open water but unfortunately no fishes wanted to play. Temp started at 49* and had warmed up to 52* a few hours later when I left. Knee held up pretty good. So I scored a big Skunk, but sure felt good to have the rod in my hands again.

I hear you with the weather this year, haven't been out since the first of the year. It don't hurt to look around and you found open water and got some casts in.

yes Sir Mr. Jim, Due to life and health issues, well I got out to wet a line once all of 2024. One could say Cabin Fever had established a major hold on me that needed a remedy in a bad way. water was down at least 4ft, and it was a bit hazardous to get down to the water, but I did ok. wind was in my face at about 10-15 mph, which made it feel colder than it was. All in all, it really felt good even for the short time out there. Temps here through the week-end are going to make me stay in. Steady going down here so by Monday at 6AM it will have a mean temp of 6*...Wind chill will be below 0*...Nope, only an emergency going to get me out till it gets up...Everyone stay warm and safe...

Thumbs up on the walk, skunk doesn’t count yet..........put that off till it's a real dedicated day trip. You're just practicing to go fishing right now.
