On that note, I've caught some Huge Crappie while Bass fishing. Full size spinnerbaits and full size buzzbaits, 3/8 and 1/2 oz lures other lures also like crankbaits and bass jigs. I think only a few ever on a plastic worm, not sure why.

Crappie are for sure minner munchers. They'll eat worms but their preference is fresh fish. They also love plankton. A relatively unknown fact is the reason crappies are difficult to locate sometimes is because they spend a good deal of time in open water feeding on plankton. You've caught crappie on buzzbaits? That's cool
