I have never fished heated docks but duck season is soon ending and i thought about giving it a try!!
Anyone have any advice or tips?
Do you have better luck running plastics or minnows....
I'm also guessing its a lot of light bites and a waiting game?
Happy New Year!!!!

You'll want a 4ft untralight rod. Mine is a Fenwick. Or, an ice fishing rod. I had to order my rod from up North where ice fishing is popular. I use Fireline 4lb braid as my backing. I run a 10ft fluorocarbon leader 6lb test. I mark the braid where it connects to the fluoro with a red permanent marker. This way I can keep track of my depth. The fluorocarbon is invisible to the fish. This is a very strong setup. Last year I had a 20+lb carp took my jig. I was able to fight it to the surface. The carp was nearly as long as my 4ft rod. It only broke my leader when it go tangled in the lines from the dock
