This may be a good spot to throw this in, pull the batteries out of boat or make sure they are topped off with a good charge. Don’t store that outboard tilted up to fill the prop housing with snow and ice, my grandfather was a victim of that back in the [emoji[emoji6]

] winter. Finally just had to replace lower unit. Just a couple thoughts that might save ya some trouble later. Stay safe all.

Got both of those situations taken care of : My batteries are kept in my apartment. My 90hp Merc is too long to stand upright. so I use plastic sacks & a small bungie cord around the prop to keep rain/snow out of the lower unit housing during the Winter.Originally Posted by Sourmash

Looking at a foot or so possible here. Generator is good, have gas in cans, 13 cords of seasoned firewood and food. I think we are good to go…
