    Exclamation BE PREPARED !!

Get ready, gang ... this upcoming storm system could get nasty.

I'm not so much worried about the (possible) 6" of snow, but the ICE and really low temps can be deadly.

Everybody do what you gotta do to stay safe and warm. And be CAREFUL out there !!

Started generators today just as a precaution. Checked kerosene heaters and propane heaters. Still holding hope it will not be as bad as they are predicting.

This may be a good spot to throw this in, pull the batteries out of boat or make sure they are topped off with a good charge. Don’t store that outboard tilted up to fill the prop housing with snow and ice, my grandfather was a victim of that back in the [emoji[emoji6BE PREPARED !!BE PREPARED !!]BE PREPARED !!BE PREPARED !!][emoji[emoji6BE PREPARED !!BE PREPARED !!]BE PREPARED !!BE PREPARED !!]-[emoji[emoji6BE PREPARED !!BE PREPARED !!]BE PREPARED !!BE PREPARED !!][emoji[emoji6BE PREPARED !!BE PREPARED !!]BE PREPARED !!BE PREPARED !!] winter. Finally just had to replace lower unit. Just a couple thoughts that might save ya some trouble later. Stay safe all.

Got both of those situations taken care of : My batteries are kept in my apartment. My 90hp Merc is too long to stand upright. so I use plastic sacks & a small bungie cord around the prop to keep rain/snow out of the lower unit housing during the Winter.

I don't mind the snow (for a few hours lol) but I can do without the ice.

Looking at a foot or so possible here. Generator is good, have gas in cans, 13 cords of seasoned firewood and food. I think we are good to go…

Got prepared but we had a couple of hours of freezing rain then just rain. Looks like we may be in for thunderstorms later today. Everybody here remembers Feb 2009 ice storm so most were ready.
