nice ketch , hope you have a happy new year too
When I pull up a Hammer Slab like this one your selfie skills always come to mind. I'm trying to take one as well as you but while gyrating all over the boat looking at the screen I don't have what it takes to even get the shot centered. Keep catching and posting yours so I have reference material to compare to. I will add beating the same drum, the #4 EC 570 hook is the largest I use today. The smaller hooks really catch better for me as all these pigs were hooked in the very edge of their lips, not a one of the big fish had the even 1/2 the length of the bait in their mouths. The little hooks grab & penetrate the mouth areas immediately and sink to the Hub. The was good advice you gave back then.

anything over 14 inches takes a really long arm to get in an image with the entire fish and your face .....
many use the lower the arm routine to below the fish rather than straight away .....
one thing for certain my friend , I aint been on any that are difficult to get in the entire frame lately

Beautiful fish! I love this time of the year when every other boat I see on the water is carrying duck or deer hunters!
