    Default Which one?

An eccentric billionaire invites you to fish his private lake for bluegill with the stipulation that you can only use lures. As you arrive, he says he's heard that you are a hot shot fisherman and offers you a million dollars if you catch a bluegill on the first cast. Which lures are your top five finalists that you consider and which one do you attach for that first cast?

Be so specific that anyone reading would be able to replicate the exact configurations.

I think this will be a good thread and am looking forward to see what every one chooses. I've been really impressed with the trout magnets' effectiveness on bluegills and I have some of those bumble bugs (though not in that color) that I haven't used for years. I had gotten away from treble hooks so could unhook easier; but I need to dig those out again. I remember catching both bluegill and bass on them.

I've caught some nice gills on the Gulp crickets and 1" pinched crawlers, I would definitely include those in my arsenal. And the 1" minnows

Probably a 1/32oz marabou Road Runner would be my first choice (tail feathers trimmed to just 1/4" past the hook bend).

Second choice would be a black Pop-eye jig 1/32oz. (under a tiny float if allowed). Possibly tipped with a Slabanator Slab Stick.

Third choice would be a 1/64oz jig with a Slabanator Slab Stick threaded on the hook (Earthworm or Garlic Shad flavor). May add more Slab Sticks if needed to cover the hook. (they're only ~1/4" long) (again, under a tiny float if allowed)

I've fished with the maker of Slabanator products, and I've seen them make a difference ... first hand.

#1- 1/48 duck feather jig tipped with piece of a Berkley power wiggler on a #10 sickle hook. #2- 1/32 Black bunny bugger jig #6 on a gold plated head tipped with piece of power wiggler. #3- 1/48 1" brown/chartreuse tube jig #8 hook tipped with wiggler #4 1/32 Bison colored trout magnet on a #8 jig hook #5- 1/32 gadwall duck feather jig on a #8 sickle with piece of wiggler. First bait on the line would be #1 fished with a small 3/4" weighted float so first cast would be a long one.
