Wife gave me 2 hours to fish before last minute shopping for the kiddos.

Had to stay close so I sniped with old school fish finder and cast Bobby Garlands on 1/8 oz jig head with an 1/8 oz bullet weight above leader in about 25’ of water right around Hwy 40 bridge.

    Got dinner.

Yes you did. I like those trips too, I did one yesterday during the 3 hours my bride's Turkey was in the oven.

A good trip indeed! The river is still flowing pretty good so no surprise you had to use some extra weight. Glad you figured it out.

I’ve been doing pretty good from woodruff all the way to George but very sporadic; once I think I’m dialed in they shut off and I switch methodologies.
what are you seeing down south?

Have they been in the pads or open water? I heard last Month everyone was getting there limits, but Im sure it will slow down in February when I get to Highland.
