Very nice work. A bottom pour lead pot is lots easier.

I forget who it was that didn't like the short hook and moded the mold to take a regular jig hook and that solved their problem. I'll have to look back through and find it!!

Guilty as charged. I bought it the week it came out and modded it not much longer. I just about modded every do-it mold I had as there was always something I didn’t like about them. Glad there are more mold manufacturer options nowadays.

I like the design of the Bat Head as long as that little nubbin on the back of the jig is removed, and that wide gap hook is modded out in lieu of a 570 style hook. I also trim the wire keeper to about 1/3 of its original length [ barb height].Name: 627755152_2640906682951442_3921941825657475568_n.jpg

I'll occasionally fish a plastic that just fits up better to the back of a Bat that has been modded as mentioned than to a ball or regular minnow head, especially if I am leaning towards a head with an eye.

Seen here are a 1/24 and a 1/16, my two most used and preferred head sizes. Size six and four hooks respective to head size.
