    Default Another Cold Day

Went over to the city lake around noon. Temp was 39 degrees with wind chill in high 20’s….had the whole place to myself. Today I had the Daiwa Ballistic 1000 FW spooled with 2.3# test Varivas ES2 Lemoni Ester on the Presso Italian Special 63UL. Caught all fish on a 2.8 gram Forrest MIU Abalone colored spoon. Fishing this rod with Ester is just insane. I gave up fishing in this kind of weather quite a while back. But I couldn’t just sit at home knowing those trout were there and knowing the kind of feedback this rod gives. Took a little while to find the fish but once I did it was on. Fished for a little over an hour and netted 40 plus trout. Once again most 13-15 inches. They gave me all I wanted on this setup. The Presso 61 MLF just cleared customs in Cincinnati and will be here Monday. Looking forward to getting it over there and throwing some cranks. Life is good!

I can’t believe you had it all to yourself.
    That a nice trout .
I spent a couple hours this morning putting braid back on a few combos.
Might try to get out for a short time tomorrow.

That’s a bit brisk for me too but I’ve done crazier things, I think. That many fish would get me out too. Good pics and glad you got out.

My buddy and I usually joke when we’re the only ones there, “I called yesterday and reserved the lake”….lol. Good job Randy, nice catches.
