    Default A little relaxing day

Weather finally got just warm enough for this old timer to venture out a little. Got to spend about 3 hours chasing crappie. I finally caught
five. now mind you only one would have been keeper but 5 is 5 . The Chick was about 47 degrees, and the wind became a nuisance.
they were holding fairly deep, although I did get one that was a keeper size in a minnow about 10 foot deep on a slip bobber and minnow set up. The others were on a BG Blue Ice jig 20 plus deep. Only got 4 pics, I had to drop one quick to get the one larger unhooked. It was gill hooked, and I wanted to get it back in the water as soon as possible. The one thing I did learn is that it's time to re-spool my line. . In case I forget "Merry Christmas, ya'all"

Good job getting out and catching. No monsters but no skunk either, I’d say a good trip. Thanks for sharing

Happiness is the smell of fish on the hands Was telling my wife that I figured today would've been a good day to be on the water. Hopefully I'll be able to report something in the next week or 10 days. Merry Christmas!
