Got this 2006 V-18 from a Friend . It's been sitting for a long time. Last sticker was from 2018. Floor seems solid, carpet looks good. Engine looks clean. I have not checked cylinder psi. Engine is a 2005 Merc 90hp, 2 stroke, 3 cylinder, 3 carburetors, Oil injection has been bypassed. I will have to clean out the fuel tank, replace all fuel lines, filters..impeller and more... It should be less of a project than the 19 ft skiff I redid 4 years ago.
The Mecury engine reminds me of a Mariner 90hp I had in the late 1990s. I will use the electronics and rod holders from the Skiff.

Nice looking boat. Hopefully no issues and it’s up and running for you soon.

Thanks, Some of my friends have been catching some good Specks/crappies the last 2 weeks. I need to get out, I only fished 1 time this year.. My skiff and trailer got damaged by a huge tree during a hail and wind storm 1.5 years ago. I don't know why but I just did not ever fix it.. I rebuilt the boat shed, but got to where I just gave up on the Skiff repairs. I bought a used trailer for the skiff and never put the boat on it...Some sort of depression? But I feel good about working on the V-18

I’ve had one of those boats. I believe mine was a 2008 model. I think that was the best hull tracker ever made. The bass version was pretty popular in its time.

I almost bought the same thing here in OH this past summer for 2K. Wishing I had got it now but also kinda grateful I didn’t

I love bringing older boats back to life. Have a great time with the process. If something aggravates you give it a pass and sleep on the problem. I've found it works wonders when you get stuck on a problem.

Slowly getting the boat ready, between work and other stuff I do its going slow...Drained the old gas out of the tank, Got some parts including...new No Feed Back steering system with new steering wheel, Bunk wrap kit, Getting some 2 x 6 x 10ft Cypress boards Monday from a saw mill. Need to find some good trailer tires for the Aluminum wheels..thinking about Goodyear Endurance.

PLEASE check the plumbing for the livewell and bilges and such. I’ve heard of several instances of dried and cracked hoses causing grief after an extensive revival on a boat that has sat for a long time, especially here in FL with the summer heat. I always look at the project boats and feel I still have another one left in me but I either don’t or haven’t found the right one yet. Hope it does well by you.

Funny that I wrote this in January and I'm deep into a project boat now. Life is good!
