    Default Happy Thanksgiving Everyone

I got out again to test the water. I went on Tuesday, mid-week. I left at the same time I did on Sunday. But as I turned into the lot for the boat ramp, I got to follow three other boats into the lot and there were already at least 15 trailers in the lot. I waited my turn and headed out, following the crowd. When I got to open water I decided to move away from the crowd and work off to the side of the crowd. It wasn't long before a rod bent and I boated a nice fish. After the second rod bent, I looked up and found that I was not alone anymore. I moved off to the side again. I like to drag bobbers behind the boat and make wide turns. So I like to have some room around me. I moved off to another area and the rods kept bending along the way. Not alot of action, but enough. I looked up and I was by myself ( it was after 11 am. and as we know the fish don't bite after 11) so I started to work my way back to the ramp. And the rods bent a few more times on the way in.

I ended up with 16 fish in the bucket over 12 inches.

The best thing my dad ever gave me was his love of fishing.

That’s a good mess of stuffing for the frozer. 16 is way more than you like to clean so I know it must’ve been a very good day. I saw lots of boats from the interstate before the holiday. That makes it hard for me to focus on my job. Glad to hear you had good trip, we’ve both been waiting a while for em.
