Default Daiwa Presso Ags Ltd....a litte seat time!

Hi, all, so i finally get to give the newly acquired Daiwa Presso flagship Area Trout rod a little seat time to see if it's any good. Like most CDC members already know rods at this price point are "splitting " hair when it comes to sensitivity and lightness, this 58ml-s @ 51 grams is no difference. The rod felt very ballance in hand unlike, let's say a 5'6" St Croix premier, a Majorcraft Trapara, or the Abu Garcia 60ul Mass Beat. These are all trout rods i own to compare with and they all either a little butt heavy or top heavy. The handle is very comfortable even though the bling factor is it's main priority. Sensitivity is on par to my other 99.9% carbon rod like the Abu Eradicator, but the action on this Daiwa is in a class of its own....good or bad. The blank has very consistent bend to it even for a ML rating, not stiff at all. I'd say it casted more like a L rating rod.Name: 20241023_171836.jpg

Just look how thin the bottom diameter vs Abu Eradicator UL rated one!
Lastly this is where I believe I've spent the bulk of the money, the Daiwa MegaTop solid carbon tip. It's 2 stage design did help propell a 1.2g JDM spoon further than I could with any of the mentioned rods I have in my small collection. Anyhow these are my limited, no pun intended, assessment of this fun rod. Thanks for reading!

Good report and pics, love the leaves. Funny looking crappie you got out there though, kinda skinny.

What is the bend curve like? Is it fast or slow action?

I think moderately fast, but not stiff. I'm bad when it comes to bending curve description so I'll let the picture do the explaining:
