Default Compromise spot before the coming rain

I didn’t have time today to go back to the creek and I decided to try the docks at the closest reservoir to me to allow me to get in a little rod time .
I wasn’t very optimistic about the area , but wetting a line is the objective and catching is a bonus .
Beautiful weather , low 70’s , but with a SSW wind with gusts over 10mph.
The water level was down which allowed me to shoot under one side of the docks , but I only caught a small gill almost right off , but went over thirty minutes without bringing another to hand . I hooked two that came unhooked before I could get them in .

I switched sides and started casting as close the dock as possible (with the wind) and working along the dock posts .
About half way working down the dock , I hooked up a better bluegill, that swam straight under the dock around a post and I was glad I had 4# Floroclear as my leader and 6# Daiwa J Braid in light gray .
The gill put a sweet bend in my 4’6” Major Craft Finetail Glass Trekking rod paired with my old Shimano Stradic 1000 . I love the drag on this old reel .
I worked the same area and caught another gill and a shellcracker.
I ended up catching a small redbreast for a total of five fish in just about an hour of fishing .
We have rain coming in early tomorrow morning with about 2” expected, which will blow out the creeks for awhile, but hopefully will flush the town pond , giving me a place to fish once the front gets through and the temps drop about twenty degrees .

I thought they were pretty colorful, for the water temps.
