Default Been a good last two months for panfish and the variety shapes they strike!

As many of you know from my previous post, I fiddle with soft plastics to see how many shapes and actions fish strike. This year has been a banner year of discovery! Fortunately finding fish was easier that last year which is #1 to catching them. Location patterns presented themselves in different parts of the lakes I fish where most fish were caught in water 3-6' deep.

Losse groups or fish in schools are easy to catch trying out do each other so catching fish with eyes closed is no brainer/ Here are some lure shapes that did well:
A pearl gold laminate Crappie Magnet did fantastic in late Oct.! :

A straight thin tail as usual caught a bunch:

    Another had a slight paddle:

How about a lizard body with tail removed?:

The next to bottom was a lure from a mold that produced a wide thin flat tail that flutters with the least added motion.
The bottom lure was formed by melting two grub bodies together and, believe it or not, was one of my best discoveries this year and it caught everything!

Sorry for the misnaming of lure shapes. It's difficult posting photos in the right spots and deleting other photos mistakenly posted.

Spoon, in reference to the last picture, was the jig hook purpose-bent or purchased that way? I like the idea of it. Thanks for showing!

Ya mean the photo with the sunfish? The hook's not shown. ???

Sickle hooks are bent a bit and I open the gap. Hooks that get bent out, I use pliers to close it making sure the point-to-barb is parallel to the lure. I'm not a fan of sickle hook jigs but sometimes the weight I'm looking for only come with sickle hooks
