Nice mess

I fished Limestone creek between the Bay and Tennesse River this morning from 6:30AM till around 12:00. I only had a few hours since I promised my wife I'd cook fish for lunch before she went to work. I found fish all over, most little ones but kept 21 and returned or gave away another 10 larger fish. The water was 61 degrees with visibility of about 18 inches. Shad were thick everywhere. All fish came off single pole jigging 6 to 8 feet deep on the end of laydowns.
The picture is the dozen from yesterday combined with the 21 today.

The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Very nice mess of good eats. Good job
Nice. I was surprised to find Indian pretty muddy yesterday. Caught 2 fish around 14 inches and a couple catfish.

Barron Fork should be about dry, not to mention all the muddy banks along Indian Creek on Redstone Arsenal. Add an inch of rain and falling water levels pulling it out of those areas and towards the Tennessee River and it's not surprising. It'll clear up in a week unless we get more rain.
DB does it again slabmatics!!

Love, what more can I say
He always make it look easy. He has that magic touch. That stretch holds a lot of fish.
I usually never anchor, keep moving getting one here and there. If I don't catch a fish at a laydown after a couple minutes (even if the fish finder shows it covered up) I go back to moving looking for active fish.
