Default Kayak Trip Report, Limestone Bay/Creek

Returned to the Northern end of Limestone Creek today parking at the old iron bridge and dragging in. I packed much lighter this time making the trip a little easier. Fish there, but not like last time. I kept a dozen fish that were 9 to 10 inches and returned about half a limit of larger Crappie. Gills were everywhere along with endless short Crappie. I returned about a dozen Bass but none over about 12" this time. Visibility is around 12 inches; I didn't bring my fish finder so unknow on the temperature. Fish came from a mix of jig and bobber, single pole on isolated brush and tossing a tiny 1/64oz spinner. Boated Crappie with all three techniques depending on the area. The area was about 6 inches lower than last trip, looks like Wheeler is at about the normal low point for winter pool.
