    Default Scratched the itch !

I got to fish a little today , about forty minutes while my wife was getting her hair done .
I wasn’t very optimistic about my chances as the last couple of times fishing lake McIntosh around the boat ramp I haven’t caught much.
It was a test of sort , my first time out since my neck/shoulder injury.
Still not 100% , but I had to give it a try . Beats just sitting in the car waiting.

I would have preferred to try my luck at one of my three creeks spots locally, but didn’t have time today .

The weather had cooled off. It was 57 degrees and cloudy after the rain had finished up around ten this morning. At least there wasn’t much wind.

I took a 4’6” , two piece Major Craft Finetail glass rod paired with a Daiwa Fuego Lt 1000 and Daiwa braid .
Lure was my 4mm micro tungsten bead head jigs . Around 1/64oz .

I gave thanks when I caught my first green sunfish and then two more , plus a Warmouth to give me four for the day .
No, they’re not monsters , but I was able to fish a little while and scratch that itch .

Edit: I’m really enjoying these fiberglass Major Craft rods using braid . They are fun rods .

Good job and nice setup. When you said scratch the itch I instantly thought of this poison ivy on both my arms and stomach. Yours sounds way more enjoyable.

Sorry about the reminder of the poison ivy.
I’ve only had poison ivy rash maybe twice in my life . Once when I got the short straw and was given the job of clearing off the poison ivy vines that had taken over the gate to our archery club , back when we had an archery club.
The other time is when I pulled the vines off a tree I wanted to bowhunt out of .
Both timed my arms had been scratched up from briars and I think the poison ivy had an easy entry.
