You don’t mention a time frame, but for bream and shellcracker in the shallows, April and May is prime time. Bream are stacked on deep brush now. Catfish are biting as well as they bite year round. Depending on price, options are plentiful for rentals. Poplar creek, Stumphole, Bells, Carolina King marinas along with a host of others offer cabins and trailers. If you want something much nicer look into VRBO. Houses and condos on the water are available but are more costly. My wife and I rented a water front condo a couple weeks back and really enjoyed it. Ink pretty well gave you some good advice there. If you want brim, you'll hit it good, catfish too, but what most don't tell you Santee or Lake Marion is fickle you have to put in the time to make it worth going and most get overwhelmed pretty quick. IF you could only fish one location for what you mentioned Stumphole woods and blow-out where river dumps in the lake just don't get in a hurry and you'll be ok. those two Places are pretty much the same.
