    Default Ugly jig big crappie

Caught this fish yesterday using The jig shown. It was tied using EP fiber on a 1/8 ounce head with a # 2 Hook. The body is straggle chenille.

It looks rough, but caught a good one !Name: IMG_20241112_180737.jpg

Nice jig and slab. I'd certainly be tying several more of them to start.

    Thanks Guys,

I've been tying a few jigs with the fiber and trying them out. The last few that were tied was over a year ago and never got wet.
After watching some videos from EP his advice to make the "fly/jib" was to go light on the material and make them translucent so I cut way down on the amount of material used.
They seem to be working well as tied so will try some more. I'm pretty happy with the looks of the jigs right now though they look ragged, especially in pictures.
They have been catching so far and this one has caught a dozen nice crappies:

    Here's 3 more from yesterday:

Still getting the hang of using this material but so far, so good.
