    Default 1st Saturday Off

With the regular season coming to end and our staff not having to meet until the playoff brackets come out, I had my first Saturday off in a long time, so of course, I went out for a few hours. There was a bass tournament going on and there were several boats in the area I was, but I still managed to scrape a few decent fish to clean. Caught a bunch of smaller ones, too, that were released. Water temperature is still hovering in the mid to high 70's and still catching them on brush/stumps with 1/64 oz black and chartreuse curly tail.

Nice catches, the black and chartreuse must be killer, I've seen lots of people recommend those colors. I've always liked Junebug for bass, not sure if it works as well for crappie

Oh, believe me .... Junebug is GREAT for Crappie. I especially like throwing the 1.5" Junebug/Chartreuse Crappie Slider by Charlie Brewer. And it's produced quite a number of Crappie for me.
