The Amite River from the weir south to Lake Maurepas to include small tributaries off the Amite River and all of the Tickfaw River and small tributaries are closed to all recreational traffic effective 12:00pm CST, on 5 November 2024 until further notice due to rising water levels caused by on-going high south winds and incoming weather system in the southern Gulf of Mexico -- as per LP PP & LOHSEP
