    Default A Fig Lover's Lunch

Well between early pecan gathering & making breakfast I got to thinking about lunch. Out painting the Purlins for the new covered parking daydreaming, it occurred to me I had a bunch of ripe jumbo Condaria figs in the fridge. I will do the whole recipe on the repeat but basically I cut the figs in half placing a cube of real Greek Feta on each half. Then after cutting a 12oz package of bacon in half I stretched each slice before wrapping around the Feta stuffed fig half. Once wrapped a toothpick was used to keep everything together while cooking. I baked the figs for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.

While in the oven I poured 1/2 cup of Bon Temp's honey in a saucepan. Added 1 Tablespoon Red Pepper Flakes & 1 Teaspoon Frank's Hot sauce. Stirring to combine first I brought the mixture up to a simmer before removing from the heat and steeping the red pepper flakes in the honey for 15 minutes. Afterwards I strained the Hot Honey into a measuring cup to drizzle over the figs. Needless to say, I'm stuffed too now.
