Default GUSTING above 30 mph you say ....

    darn it I say ....
prolly ought to stay home , sounds miserable out on the water to me ....BUT ...
as Halloween is closing in on me and my mask time is running low ....
    I just had to go
Orange man had to get a roll with them before the clock chimes on Thursday and today is rain ....
had to turn my ballcap backwards to keep it on after a few fish ....
man was the wind brutal on the bank ....
backwards seemed to help the black crappie bite well
and bill to the front in the traditional ballcap wearing fashion seemed to favor the white crappie
of course as well known in many circles , me taking the ketchn of crappie seriously is a thing of the past , I only do it for the entertainment value most days ....AND I ...
bet it was entertaining if you was watching me in my orange mask as well ....
    and KABOOM ....

p.s. the presentation and set up part ....
a float rig set about 4 foot deep, that had to be pitched hard to right, to land hard to the left ....
not much twitching required as it was bouncing around hard on the baby white caps ....
most fish "ticked it" and raised the float slightly ....no down time ....
best not blink though , you won't even EVER know you got a bite ....
used a silver jig and pink jig , lost one to a stump ....
not so sure they liked it moving that fast , but they din't have a choice if they wanted to get ketched

Usually don't fish when it's that windy but did yesterday and will go again today. Everything is more challenging when it's windy. Casting into a cross wind is certainly entertaining trying to hit the sweet spot and gauge how far you need to adjust. Was able to feel three bites and caught all three bass yesterday. I wonder how many bites I actually had. Despite conditions you got some slabs and that's a winner for you.
