I know. Gross nails. But heck, I just did the springs, I’ll get them clean soon. And yeah, I rip mine off but leave the thumb nails longer so I can push down and open snaps or snap swivels! Ya know, gotta fish.

I voted early last week and the polls were pretty packed. I wonder if we will break the record set in the 2020 election.

I know most mechanics wear nitrile gloves, but I just can't get used to them. For the spring/shocks job I prolly shoulda used them though. I grew up not wearing gloves to work on cars, and it just don't feel right. Can't feel the nuts and bolts right. dono, but I keep trying to, they tear though too. My hands get clean eventually!

Bud, Black Lighting Black Nitrile gloves do not tear. Best glove on the market. Buy a tight to the hand size. I buy XXL's due to the size of my hands, 10 boxes a year from the main Marine supplier I use. Now mostly for painting but wheel bearings, oil changes, etc, nasty stuff I use the Black Lighting gloves. I use regular mechanics gloves for most of the wrench pulling and still grime up my hands as they have cloth backs. I got use to using gloves over time, got tired of cuts on my hands. Once you make the transition you will be glad you did.

Voted Friday the 18th. First day here. No line mid afternoon, but I live in a small town. They said the first morning was busy.

Early voting here starts Thursday, I'll do my part and vote then.

The fingernail comments reminded me of a story. Many years ago, after my divorce I was in a bar in a town near me and started talking to a woman there. She invited me to sit with her, so I did, she was from a town about 40 miles away and knew some of the same people I did that lived there. During our conversation she commented that my fingernails were clean, then she commented that her husbands were always dirty . I only had a drink or so of the beer I'd been nursing so I finished it and excused myself to the rest room. From there I discretely exited the bar and made my way home. I wanted no part of a mad, jealous husband, dirty fingernails or not!
