I use them with Southern Pro tubes . I load by pushing in from rear of bigger tubes and pop hook eye out. I use 1/8 for Umbrella 2'' tubes and 1/4 for 2.5'' Little Hustlers.

Anyone ever have any luck with these type of jigs for crappie? Had them in my box but haven’t used them much

They look heavy but sharp

I used to have a mold that made those in 1/16oz (I think) and used them with tube jigs (probably Southern Pro) way back when. They worked okay, but the tubes would split out after a few fish ... so I quit using them & went to regular jigheads with my tubes. Eventually I quit using hollow tubes and went to solid tube jigs.
I do remember using up a lot of my stash of those "fast load" jigheads ... using them with live minners.![]()

I think I tried them out with tubes as well but probably not a big enough tube like NIMROD mentioned earlier gonna give these a try as the water continues to cool

I use that style in both 1/16 and 1/32 oz. Mainly use the hollow Southern Pro minnow tubes with them.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.tachyon62 LIKED above post

I wish I had some in 1/16 and 1/32 for the instances I use tubes which isn't often because they are sort of a pain to rig.

Yeah use that for tube as well, mostly 1.75” hollow tube. What weight are those? Seem big compare to my 1/16oz tube head. To help insert those to tube just wet it with slab sauce.

CrappiePappy thanked you for this post
they used to sell them pre-rigged with a tube jig on them .....
2 problems quickly occur with them ....
as stated ,they split fast and then you have to take off the jig, to insert another one back into the next tube
took me about one or 2 tries with them to say ,,,,,,total waste of my time for sure
my take on them jigheads is tie them up in a bucktail type design or forget it .....
they just ain't great to use with plastics
