This is the silver/white vein crinkle. I only dipped the head in clear once and then in to the crinkle. Not bad. I’ll try double dipping.

    Love the silver/white vein crinkle.
The best thing my dad ever gave me was his love of fishing.

It appears to react I little different from the other types of crinkle. I may need to leave in the oven a bit longer.

Yes the white vein does act different. I would describe it like a melted marshmallow. Thick and sticky. I can’t get it to tear as good as other colors. I’ve seen some get excellent results with it. Let us know if you crack the case on how to get good tears.

I've been using the crinkle paints for almost four years now and getting great results. I sent pictures of some of my paint jobs to them and were blown away by the results I was getting. Back then I suggested a white version of the crinkle multiple times and their reply was there was no plans for a white at this time. I gave up on it and had forgotten about it until I read this thread and saw the white vein. Awesome !! Can you guess what I'll be buying today?

I’m having a hard time getting the look I want, similar to the other! If you figure it out, let us all know. Got some new paint today

I found it at Barlow's and bought 4 oz. of it to play with. Jig shown with paint the silver is very subtle, almost looks like it needs more silver in the mix. Once I get it I will be experimenting with it and see what I can get out of it. Will post my results soon after it gets here.

Vein colors are nothing new and been around for a long time. Companies like TJ Tackle and Barlow just get them from powder companies and sell it smaller quantities which is great if you don’t want to buy by the lb but will cost you. I’m refusing to buy any more protec because of the premium they charge for little powder paint and will buy few new colors from Barlows just to try out and if I like I’ll buy in quantity at Prismatic. My main colors I use a lot I’ve definitely made the switch and buy by the lb as prismatic. Lb of clear cost me $12 whereas a lb of protec clear cost you like $38. Here are all the vein colors Prismatic has to offer. Quite a big selection with like 70-80 colors of it.
