It looked like his hydraulic saw could have used some sharpening. The operator had enough weight to apply pressure to the saw chain but he still was sawing with the handle while the chain was turning. His power saw was sharp. Those oaks around here we took down last year (thank goodness before tornado) were hollow. One had flying squirrels going everywhere when the trunk hit the ground.

I knew this tree was gonna come my way for a long time. I asked the two previous owners to split the cost of removing it with me, and they said no. Oh well, now the power company cut her up, good for me.\, but I still have the mess to clean up. Hopefully a gooberment agency comes to clean it up post hurrycan. lol

I noticed that too. The power guys that came and cut the tree off my lines last time did the same thing. Even got another saw that was just as dull. Finally after a second truck showed up with his saw they finished cutting tree enough to get it off the power lines.

SO ......what if you were trying to get it out of the water because it blew out there during the storm and you were just doing your civic duty to get it out of the main boating lanes ....is it legal to "remove/move" it ......
of course you will need to practice that there helpless just trying to help face and NOT look like a deer in the headlights when they roll up and start with the 27 questions about what do you think your doing .....:
