    Default Creek fishing (picture heavy)

I fished two creeks today .
I’ll separate the trips in two posts because the first spot , I took several pictures and caught 17 creek size redbreast in a place that was the most fun I’ve had in a while.
One of the prettiest places I’ve fished too .

I started late , I got to Line Creek park around 11:20 and caught my first fish at 11:33 .
I walked past the pond and went straight downhill to the creek .
I fished about 100 yards or more of the creek as I worked my way downstream.
The area is awesome. Fishing for the little creek redbreast remind me of fishing for Brook trout in mountain streams , in the northern part of state .
The redbreast give up nothing to the brookies. They’re both beautiful fish and IMO fight better than the brookies.
I only used one combo , a 4’10 Major Craft Finetail glass UL , paired with a Shimano Soare XR spooled with Daiwa J-braid X-8 .
I fished all day with the same jig , a tiny , micro jig , size 12 dry fly hook with a 3.8mm tungsten bead , dark olive chenille body and dark olive rabbit strip hair tail .
I only fished about an hour because the temperature was already in the upper 80’s and no wind down in the creek bed .
Hiking out , it was a 1/4 mile uphill , according to my iPhone . I found a bench along the trail about halfway and rested a few minutes before continuing on .
I plan on going back .

Yes sir ! Those creek fish are always moving . Redbreast are great fighters anyways .
The M C glass proved to be the perfect rod for the situation.
