I am curious as to what others do. For those of you, "north of the 3 lb crappie"...when do you switch from pulling crankbaits to pulling jigs? Is water temp your main factor? The movement back to shallower areas?

I go by temp. 50-55 and I stop cranking. I think it is also body of water dependent. IMHO

I'm sure folks crank but I personally don't much up here... Not opposed to it, I just feel bait size (prey) is smaller and lakes around here weed up quickly making it a less then enjoyable to pull cranks.
