    Default SOLO KABOOM time

MAN did I do well with zero distractions yesterday , I returned to scene of the crime on my way back from our country place .
Boy howdy was it a good visit , just me and a jig and them fisheez ...they didn't realize I was there apparently and for sure the bigs and lilz and all points in between paid in lip tissue .
actually grabbed the net on the dock TWICE ....
some true Texas giants came to hand , sure love a giant summer time fish ....
big summer time crappie are some of the most elusive ever fish in my opinion .
Wife called about 5:45 pm to ask if I was almost home ....
said no mam , am at Buddy's place for a few
she was like WHAT ...you are there AGAIN !
said yep , just had to , will leave in 15 minutes , been here since 4:30 .....
did well free pitching and under a float as well ...
takes were so far past light and gentle it befuddles the mind ....
no big bites , just light pecks here and there , so subtle is the word ...
it's like you imagine you got a bite and just set the hook for grins ....
boxed about 35 for grins and let 3 really big ones go and 15 or 20 smaller than edible size fish.
it truly don't get much better yawl ....
went with a larger profile , they did NOT want the tiny ones from the day before ....
a white hand tie and of course an orange one did them in ....
do not start up with the what did they weigh , no scale and in this heat you best get them back in the water or the ice chest FAST anyway , 103 when I rolled up at 4:30 and actually feels like you are in an oven out there .....
most of the fish were in a bit deeper water until right before I left and then they went shallow ,
12 fow held them well the first hour and then around 8 fow as the sun settled a bit ...
hit the trail with a box full and some nice images on my phone ...
without further ado , here be some nice ones ....
and YES KABOOM is the word
p.s. top right fish was likely pushing that magic number ....

Incredible trip for sure. The mouth on the two big uns look bigger than most of the bass I've been catching. Temps here was 78 yesterday and 80 today. If I could I'd trade cooler temps for some slabs like that. Kaboom !!!

funny thing is some folks call them "my pet crappie"
let me just say this about that
I have one pet crappie in a fish tank
the rest of the crappie out there ain't nobody's pets.
them fish are for sure no easier to ketch than river crappie
and for sure river crappie are the wildest of crappie
so if you go and think ketchn crappie in there or anywhere else for that matter
is a cake walk , then for sure you need to go more often and realize that there is ...
a very few scenarios where crappie are easy , they are for sure not that fish
I might simplify what I do to ketch them
but to be sure of this
folks that are good at what they do
make it look really easy , this is fact
thank you all for the nice comments btw
sure was a stellar afternoon out there in that oven
