Cool While I was out testing my trolling motor installation….

I decided to pull crankbaits after all at the Sawdust Pile on The Rez. The Advanced GPS Ultrex seemed to work fine; the 360 seemed to work fine mounted to the Ultrex; the 93sv showed that the LVS32 and DCS transducer worked fine on the trolling motor; the 1199s even showed that I was recording an iTrack. Once I confirmed that I all of that was working (and even seeing fish on the fishfinders), I figured that I might as well continue testing with some actual fishing. It was definitely hot in the air and in the water (already 88-deg F when I arrived around 8:00 am).

I kept only 3 of a few crappie that I caught; caught plenty of catfish, including some nice ones that I decided to throw back. We ended up eating the crappie this evening. I’ve noticed a few adjustments that I still need to make—some minor as well as some that may take a little more work and money. I can’t really complain since I’m fishing more these days due to project delays at work and kids’ schedules getting more manageable.

If I'm not at work or taking kids to their activities, you might find me on "The Rez" fishing. If not there, I could be in the garage working on my boat.

I missed the thread of what you had done went back and looked. Lot of sweat in that change over. Nice work though. Glad it all tested out. One thing I did notice. From one pic under console, it appears your fire extinguisher may have rust in nozzle? Might be time to replace. May just be the way the pic looks. Not sure, but worth a check.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

Thanks for noticing; I’ll let my dad know to look at it, since the under console pic is from his boat and not mine. I recently replaced the fire extinguisher on my boat fortunately.

Guys, dont forget fire extinguishers now have an expiration date according to USCG law! All states enforce USCG law on public water. 12 years from the date of mfg on the bottle.

My 2016 boat had one mfg in 2010, had to replace it last year

It's great when a plan comes together especially when you do it yourself.
