    Default Smithville 7/27 and 7/28

Saturday: Fishing was much harder. Fish in 12' of water 5' down and 20' of water 10' down. A fish or two per tree and I really had to hunt to get 15, with better fish in deeper water. Fished up north of W. 1/4oz chart head double rigged and fish seemed to only hit on black/chart 1.5" skirt jigs.

Sunday: Fished same spots on Saturday only picked up 6. All small. They were shallow as 2' all the way to 20'. Tried Camp Branch and got skunked on that side with fish smaller than dinks. Same lures as Saturday.

Snapped another Crappie Thunder rod right in the middle where they put together trying to pull one out of a brushpile. Last one I buy. Picked up a BnM pole today.

You make it sound like riding a bike.
    Nice report.

Nice job Alex! Tough finding descent size fish on the Ville'. B&M makes nice rods, I got a 12' & 7' and really like them.

I think Rods Dry Rot like anything else when they sit around unmoved for 8 years?

You'll like those B&M. I like mine, anyway. (Even though they probably only caught the same number of fish in 8 years as yours did!!)
