Default 7/27/24 - Finally off the bank

A buddy invited me out fishing this past Saturday, so I finally got to get off the bank and out on the lake. Had a blast reeling in some toads! Slabs so thick they had backstraps!

Shortest one of the day was 11" and largest was right st 15"

Now I just need to convince the wife that we NEED a boat

Thats some good eating right there. Bank fishing is fun but limited. Hopefully he takes you back out around October - November to fill the freezer up!

Yea, I'm just super limited most of the time on the bank. Catfishing is decent, but it's crappie fishing is TOUGH if it's not during the spawn.
But he's already invited me out again this Saturday. Hoping to put a few more in the freezer.

This is true, but I may have to ask for a place to sleep along with that forgiveness

I just need to start working on her and get her on some fish to help justify the cause.
