87 here never had a problem always add a little ring free. Don't know if it helps but I do it anyway.

I've run a Honda BF90 since 2006. Never run anything but retular ethanol blend from a close local station. Coming up on 5,000 hours. No problems. If/when I do have a problem I don't think I could blame it on the gas. I do dump in a can of Red Line in once or twice a year just for good measure.

Thanks for the replies. Seeing my boat is on the water 2 or 3 times a week and Mercury recommends 87 octane ethanol blend, Ill run that and if it looks like my boat will sit for a few weeks Ill run the pump gas out and put non ethanol gas in it.

Just use the Mercury Fuel Additive. My boat has set for up to 3 months and I’ve never had a problem with it starting or running correctly using the additive.

I run non-ethanol on my 4 stroke Mercury. I only run non-ethanol because I may go a few months without using my boat. If I used my boat weekly I would go with regular ethanol gas.

Non-ethanol premium for my 4 stroke boat motor, generators, chain saws, etc. Several dedicated pumps here for non-ethanol fuel. Truck is fine.

If it really concerns me, I'll run AV gas (aviation fuel) in some situations. There's a reason why ethanol blends are prohibited in prop driven aircraft by FAA regulations.
