Rain is forecast about every day in spring time here in S Arkansas/E Texas and La where I usually fish. I just watch the radar on my phone and try to stay away from Lightening Storms.
Also the bite is usually more aggressive right before a front. I always do best on a cloudy day with a light chop on the water VS Clear, Sunny and calm.

As a young guy in summer, after a week + of hot, dry conditions, I used to wait for the first overcast day when afternoon storms were forecast. I'd hit the lake to fish and it was great. When thunder started getting close, I'd head for cover. A close call with lightning in 1983 made me earn some respect & wise up a little. I've had to pull the boat up on the bank, flip it and get under to ride out a few storms.
Light rain and no lightning is one of my favorite days to fish. I have a goretex rainsuit if the weather calls for it.

I'll fish in the rain as long as the wind is below 15mph and no lightning! I like when it rains. The fishing may get better, but it will run a lot of folks off of the water.
