    Default Shell Cracker City

Been having great weather so I decided to hit up Bald Knob Lake. Wife and I spent 5 hours on the water. Caught a ton of shell cracker, all in about 5 feet of water. Had a lot of juvenile as well as a lot of 8-9 inch fish. It was about a fish every 4 casts. Lures were a Bison, Sow Bug, and Root Beer Float colored Trout Magnet. Used a Gekkabijin TG SS 1.5 gram and a Gekkabijin SS 1.5 gram jig head. Had two setups with me and used both. The Diplomat Extreme 62 UL with a Daiwa Ballistic FW 1000 spooled with Varivas ES 2 Lemoni Ester line. Also the Lunakia 63 with same reel but spooled with Varivas Twitch Master VLS in 3# test. To say I had a ball is an understatement. Even the juvenile crackers put up a great fight on this gear. Didn’t want to leave but wife and I both were beyond hungry. So we headed home. The weather is supposed to be good for all next week but got to go out of town late week. But hopefully can get in one more day of fishing before I go. Very odd that only one bluegill was caught. There will be a video of this outing Already checked and I do have audioShell Cracker City

I could get used to some of that. Nice looking fish Randy, just right for the table size. Hope they stay put for a while.

Hi Randy… nice catches! Can you get into how you found them? Were you looking for beds, or just knew that the area usually holds fish?
