That what I thought when I caught it , but then I realized after i released it , it had a mouth about half the size of a regular channel cat .
And yes it was a hoot on the 4’1” Major Craft Finetail glass rod .

99.9% sure it's a channel cat. Just a smaller mouth than normal.
