for those of you following, what seems to be a never ending saga, of me replacing my HB Helix 7 due to lack of depth reading, Here's the final kick in the stones lol. I took the unit out the other day to replace it. I layed it on the bench to clean it up a bit as I was planning on selling the head unit. I hooked it up to get some pics of the screen working and a pic of the status page and now it's working. I don't even know why I thought about checking the transducers one more time but I did and sure as heck, I got a depth reading on both ducers and hooked up eith the Y cable it will read both at the same time. I have no idea what to make of this, and I would love to hear anyone's thoughts on to why???
1.9ft is normal for a HB unit trying to read depth out of the water ... even if it comes out of the water while going down the lake ...
Test on the water for verification if the depth is working correctly ...
