Fla Lobster Season kick off 2024
Great kick off to the 2024 recreational lobster season in Fla and my 6 year old granddaughter caught her 1st legal lobster all by herself!!! Making memories and passing the love of fishing forward.

Nice! Didn't know the spiny lobsters were in Florida. I worked in Trinidad in the mid 80's on oil and gas rigs as a directional driller. Many South Louisiana folks there due to offshore experience. Lots of spiny lobsters there. On our time off, we'd take a small boat (~18') out on the reef. Dive down and catch them. Haul them back to the shop and boil them like crawfish. Never seen anything like that after being raised in far West Texas, then transferred to Canada for three years. Experience for sure.

Oh yeah plenty down here in the FL Keys and Miami than as you get further north on the east coast they get less plentiful but much larger. Friend of mine in Stuart went out today and only got 2 but they were both 8lb+
