I really don’t know and I’ve been tired Jigs for over 65 years I think it would depend on what size hook that you were using.

I don’t know. Not sure anyone actually counts. Too many variables. Size of hook, double wrapping, etc. I do know with 5 yards it will tie a bunch of them.
Take a 12" section and tie your favorite jig, see how many you get... Now multiply by 15 and youll be close.
Cant just give you a number because everyone ties differently. If you do 4 wraps instead of 5 thats 20% more jigs youll get than a guy who does 5.

Size of hook(length),single wrapped or double wrapped. As stated, wrap up some from a specific length of thread, and multiply to your 5yds (15ft). Size of chenille plays into the equation also. For me, tying in down the shank to above the barb, then wrapping back to the head of a 1/32 oz, #4 sickle I use approx. 3.25 inches of #2 Medium Chenille. Another variant you need to take into effect is do you wrap with the chenille still attached to the card, hanging loose if not on a card, or do you cut a section off and then tie. The latter would produce a bit of waist that has to be factored into the equation as well. I broke out a calculator for you. Tying the way I do, mathematically speaking, 15ft x 3ft to a yd, 15ft x 12 inches to a foot is 180 inches, div. by 3.25 inches will give you approx. 55.38 jigs worth of material. Now mind you, I tie with the chenille still attached to the card. Hope this helped and you could follow along with my old school cyphering...
