The Saltwater Flyfishing guys like them too for powering technical poling skiffs. My 90 has 10 hours on a complete rebuild with only a .010 overbore. It has 3 more bores before resleeving. I have a complete backup powerhead for it too with less than 100 hours on it. P-Nut wanted the 70hp instead of cash for his car lift.

I had one last picture on my phone. We were ready to pull the boat out and crank it up when this picture was taken. P-Nut has brought it home and is working on mounting the Jackplate pump along with some other improvements.

Finished Bon Temps' new Dash Mount for his 106sv Garmin today. Maybe he will post a picture to this Thread. I didn't get all the cabling layout right as I didn't anticipate how long the unbendable part of the power & transducer plugs is. Both hit the dash so we had to add a couple of holes (can't see them) for the cables to pass thru. There is about 1 inch of clearance between the steering wheel and the 106sv cover.

Bon Temps passed by yesterday morning to install the new dash panel. We got started straight away. Some trimming of the fiberglass was needed to clear the relocation of the Fuel & Trim gauges. Extra mounting holes were added as I felt not enough anchor points of the Dash Plate to the dash for the added weight with a fulcrum.



The 7in screen Garmin was the largest screen that could be installed flush in the helm console. Adding the Garmin 106sv would only be possible externally.



I didn't allow enough room for the length of the Power & Transducer plugs. Both hit the dash panel because 2 inches of each plug will not bend preventing the 106sv to lock in properly to the mounting bracket. Also I laid out the the intended hole for those cables opposite where it needed to be. I still don't know how I did it. If I was still open and this was a customers boat I would have made a completely new dash panel. Bon Temps task was doing something for a friend so I let it go (also He is Ready to get back to fishing!) but cutting 2 new holes to allow the cables to pass thru the fiberglass, dash panel, and connect to the quick release cradle just killed me. I'm getting older and find I really have to pay close attention to my design layouts. Much like putting that Bimini top on backwards the first time and not immediately catching it.

Anyway here is a picture of the added 106sv unit along with his other Cockpit unit installed and powered up that Bon Temps sent me. He certainly will have enough screen now. BTW the additional 106sv has a 8HW Chirp 2D transducer on it for good sonar return while on a plane.

He delivered some honey and some wine. I still have yet to try the razarita John. Looking forward to it. Might try it tonight as I’m icing my bad back now and not taking the muscle relaxers anymore.

It's also funny Bon Temps was into BMWs too. We owned the same type "kinda rare" car, a ZHP optioned stick shift E46 3-Series. Great car that I'm selling cheap to my Daughter as it needs to be driven more than it is now.

Bon Temps!!

The chrome rings around the dash gauges verifies it’s a ZHP. I have owned 16 Bimmers. All over 10 years old but my 330i ZHP was the sweetest. Put right under 300,000 miles on that car before I gave it to my son who drove it for another 3 years. Slab might have reignited a desire to purchase another one.

NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING,DRIVES LIKE A STICK BMW !!!

Its addictive and made my 60 mile one way commute to work an adventure.

The pink finger nails belong to my bride of almost 50 years!!

She helped dismantle my dash.

It was a pleasure meeting Slab and chewing the fat about BMWs we have owned over the years. My only wish is that we lived closer to each other so we could get together often.
