I dont understand the business, some of it seems legit and its been around for a long time apparently..

it has no negative reviews on the web anywhere that i could find, usually scams get negative google reviews quickly.

They have a Facebook page where they talk about requiring masks for COVID. But they talk a bunch of politics too, like its one person doing the posting. It hasnt posted since 2020.

It has one negative BBB rating with a similar message as this one.

The website domain was made in 2021 by using a proxy service to hide identity

The contact info is just a single person even though they claim to be a long standing 50yo company

The business address is a house at a hunt club, that was for rent recently. I see no big outbuildings or anything that would match up with the supposed pictures of their boat rigging/repair service

I cant tell if it is legit, a guy who had a legit business then lost it in covid and is now "scamming" to make ends meet, or if a scammer got ahold of the business name in 2021.

Something familiar sounding happened to an old gun store on another forum last year. Guys started posting that their guns they sent to be sold on cosign were disappearing.. turns out the owner got in financial trouble from covid and was taking guns for repair/cosign and just selling them to make personal ends meet. She was arrested last fall.

In the end, i don't think your unit is getting returned. Its probably been on someones boat on lake erie since spring 2023 id guess.

Yeah, I saw the "For Rent" sign, too. But, that house is the "address", but the house behind it is the supposed "business" (when you click on it the business name appears).

Not sure I take much out of the "For Rent" sign, though. If I zoom on my address I can see my current truck, but on Street View I see my previous truck & the data date stamp says 2022.

    Update on this post
I finally got in touch with someone who supposedly works for this company.
I got cussed out for no reason on my behalf because I was not rude or over spoken to this person or accuse them of anything and I was told that my unit was damaged by lightning, which there wasn’t a cloud in the sky on the day my unit went out and that they should have just sent the unit back to me then and not even have took it in for repair.
So I got cussed out, accused of being impatient after waiting 1 1/2 years and was told they should have sent the unit back last February.
I wouldn’t advise anybody to use these people and I hope Slab jumps in on this and puts a sticky on the main page warning other people what they can expect if they decide to do business with these people.
They said they were going to send my unit back to me, guess we’ll see if I get it.
I talked to the local police department up there and they said that they have gotten a lot of other calls from other people with the same complaint as mine.
Have no idea who cussed me out or why.
