one spot I used to like had cattails in abundance and willows that fell down on the lake edge as well
it was a flat out A for SURE paradise for a panfish ketchn fool like me
then along came some sort of lake management team that decided to "improve" the habitat .........
they took out the cattails and the willows and left the shoreline barren .....
ruined it but good for darn sure , quit visiting there was me .....
it "had" trophy class bluegill in numbers and BIG black crappie too .....
not sure why, but to be very sure they all disappeared completely from the lake after that episode ?
    go figure right .....

it stopped ,but get this , downstream they use that water for the city of Arlington as a water supply ....how stupid is that .....
This is a good success story to hear about as my "Gripes" have fallen of deaf ears with all calls.

it totally enraged me bro , at a younger age I likely would have been all up in them fellas faces looking to break one ....
I burned the phone down calling and making a huge scene out of it with several environmental agencies ...
I was surprised as heck when that lady called me back the SAME day and said she would be there the next ....
she took it REALLY seriously as well and attacked the problem QUICKLY with a huge telephoto lens and her po po beside her as well ....
they came down the next day to that spot when I was there seeing if they actually would follow up ...
I waved at her and she called me and asked if I was the fella that reported it and thanked me for the heads up .....
    how cool right
still got her number in my phone too ,,,,,just saying

We harvest the vegetation off the lake here at work. If we don't then in Oct when it dies and we have a strong wind it will end up on the traveling screens for the circulating water pumps and can take the unit offline.
